Bound in full deep red morocco by John Grabau, with a design in gilt extending off the spine of the volume, with fleurons and gouges created an elaborate border around blind tooling from extending from the spine bands. Title and author in gilt to the top of the front cover. Five bands to spine with title and author to second and fourth compartments, circular design in gilt to remaining compartments. Gilt ruled turn-ins, red mottled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Measures approx. 7.25" x 10.25". Extensive rubbing and wear to edges, corners, and spine bands; most of this wear has been color-matched to the leather. 1/2" closed crack to top of front joint.
