Decorative black and white line drawings by Spencer Wright, in the margins surrounding the text, representing people working in gardens. Bound in full brown calf with a modeled leather design of two flowering plants in pots--subtly colored with green & red--below the title of the book in Olde English script. Top edge gilt, yellow-green mottled endpapers. Measures 6.5" x 9.75". Significant rubbing and wear to edges, spine, and corners. Spotting and fading to covers. Bookplate removed from ffep.
