Bound in full dark brown morocco with a stunning densely hand-tooled gilt design of roses, vines and leaves, fully covering both the front and rear covers. Five bands to spine with title and author to second compartment and gilt leaves and vines design to remaining compartments. Complimentary floral and leaf design in gilt to turn-ins. Pink & red mottled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Measures approx. 6" x 8.25". Lower corners bumped & worn, spine very lightly faded. A few minor spots of rubbing to edges.

A striking example of Arts & Crafts bookbinding, and while unsigned, executed by a skilled & contemporary practitioner of the art.
