[Fine Binding] Love's Cross Currents

Swinburne, Algernon Charles. Love's Cross-Currents: A Year's Letters. Leipzig: Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1905. Bound in full crimson red full grained morocco by "E D W" in 1940 (signed at back), with a gilt design from top to bottom at the center of the front cover, with gilt leaves and tendril extending from four purple inlaid flowers at the upper center of the board. Five bands to spine with title in second compartment and author in fourth compartment. Gilt-dotted turn-ins with initials "M D H" (dedicatee?) on the front turn-in. Bright hand marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Measures approx. 5" x 6.5". Some light rubbing to edges, and minor gilt loss to tooling on front cover.
