Stevenson, Burton Egbert. The Home Book of Verse [2 volumes]. New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1937. Bound in red orange morocco with covers featuring a geometric border design of 16 squares & rectangles with gilt dots in each corner. Five bands to spine with title to second compartment and remaining compartments ruled in gilt with three dots to each corner. Initials of "M.D.B." to bottom of the spine, though unknown in this was the owner or bookbinder. Turn ins with gilt rules and dots and pink and blue marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Measures approx. 5.75" x 8.5". Some spotting to front cover of volume 1 and rear cover of volume 2, some light rubbing to edges and corners, spines with a touch of fading.
